Police investigating Foxborough Circle shooting as homicide

Original postSANDUSKY — Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting death in Sandusky as a homicide.Law enforcement and paramedics responded to the 2000 block of Foxborough Circle at about 9:45 p.m., according to a Sandusky police report.Sandusky police Detective Kevin Youskievicz said the victim, a man, was found shot and transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center, where he later died."Right now this is being investigated as a homicide," Youskievicz said.The shooting occurred outside in the 2000 block of Foxborugh Circle Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019.Law enforcement collected evidence in the area. They believe the shooting occurred outside, but are not sure exactly where in the block it occurred, he said.A coroner will determine how many times the victim was shot, Youskievicz said.The victim's identity was not immediately released Friday morning.Detectives are attempting to interview any potential witnesses, and are looking to identify a suspect.
