DeWine defends corruption in court case | Sandusky Register A disgraced former sheriff's detective has at least one friend in Columbus with a little clout: Mike DeWine. Sean O'Connell, who served in law enforcement for more than two decades in Sandusky County, was convicted last month of criminal wrongdoing during his investigation into Heather Bogle's murder. He could get three years in prison when he's sentenced next month.
