James Alfred Brady

SANDUSKY — James "Jim" Alfred Brady, 88, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, after a brief illness.He was born Jan. 16, 1930, to James K. and Louise Brady in Mount Clare, W.Va. On June 18, 1949, he married Betty Jean Phillips. Together, they had five children.Jim served in the Army from 1952 to 1954, during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He retired from Oscar Mayer in Sandusky in 1993 after working there for 25 years.His hobbies included working on and showing his classic car, collecting coins, fishing, and gardening.He is survived by his two children, Michael (Julie Fisher) Brady, of Holland, Ohio, and Tina (Brady) Smith, of Taylor Mill, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephen, Brian, Brandon, Brett, Amanda, Jamie, and Derek; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Dana Leigh, Natalie, Parker, and Bentli.He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 2011; two daughters, Sandra (Brady) Dietlin in 2010, and Karen (Brady) Comer in 1998; one son, James Alfred Brady Jr., in 1982; two brothers; and two sisters.There will be no services. Interment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
