Vermilion man returning on 'Jeopardy!'

VERMILION — A Vermilion man is ready to enter his personal "Double Jeopardy!" round.Tim Aten, who appeared on eight episodes of "Jeopardy!" late last year, returns Tuesday night for the quiz show's Tournament of Champions edition. Check your local listings for the time and channel.This format features the longest-running victors and biggest money winners from recent seasons.Aten earned a spot after taking home almost $110,000 when he won seven successive shows."I went in hoping to get one win, so I'm doing better than I ever expected," Aten told the (Elyria) Chronicle-Telegram. "My friends and family have been over the moon."Aten, a 2000 Vermilion High School graduate, entered some elite company.At the time, less than 50 contestants in modern history had won seven or more consecutive episodes, according to stuarte.co, a website documenting "Jeopardy!" wins.
