NAFTA begins | Sandusky Register 75 years ago, 1942: The fruit growers of Ottawa-co. were announcing plans to participate in Ohio Peach Week. All peaches were a week to ten day early this year and consumers were being advised that the South Haven peaches were now coming in to be followed by Elbertas in the latter part of the week. The fruit houses in Danbury and Gypsum were handling several hundred bushels of fruit daily including peaches, apples, pears and plums.
