I used to smoke but quit 40 years ago. I know how smoking has affected my life and the people I love and lost from it. It isn't something I ever want to go through again.

Smoking also can affect your heart. Again, not an experience I want to face again. You see our son, 41 years old, had a near fatal heart attack Oct. 7, 2006. We got him to the hospital just in time. The main artery to the heart was completely blocked, "from smoking." He was told to quit smoking or he would die. Not something a parent wants to hear.

I'm so sorry for you smokers so addicted to nicotine that you don't know the danger of smoking and the danger to babies and children of all ages. Think about it. Please let our children and grandchildren have a chance to grow up strong and healthy.
