I want to congratulate the Congress members who are taking a stand against President Bush's plan for more troops in Iraq. It has been a long and bumpy road in Iraq and it is time to start to let Iraqis stand on their own. More troops are only going to increase the violence. The Iraq government hasn't prepared itself for an American troop pull out because they know that President Bush doesn't have a plan, and he will continue to lend American lives for that mistake. It's nice to see that Congress is using its power to make sure that the president isn't overstepping his boundaries, and I hope that they hold strong. The next step is to come up with a plan to bring the troops home, and I am confident that Congress will develop a plan soon.
