Seat belts are now a need while riding in a motorized vehicle. They aid everyone's safety while riding in cars, trucks and other vehicles. So, why isn't it illegal to ride in the back seat without this safety restraint. There is actually no real reason. Seat belts will lessen the number of deaths and injuries in vehicles by decreasing the time it takes an occupant to come to a stop on contact, spreading the impact force over a greater area of the body, lessening contact with other objects in the car and preventing ejection. Seatbelts are a good way to keep your life.

Also, the number of people in Ohio that do not wear a seat belt is massive. Almost 35 percent of all car riders killed on the road were not wearing a seat belt. So, complaining, "It's uncomfortable," or "It's only a short trip" sound like pretty stupid reasons not to wear this lifesaver.

I believe everyone, in any seat, in a vehicle, should have to wear a seat belt. Every day, many people, especially teens, are losing their lives just because they don't buckle up. Seat belts are one very easy way to keep your life going. Everyone should as themselves, "Is anything holding me back?"
