I say that we must put a stop to eminent domain. How scary is it to think that your home or property could be taken away from you at any time, beyond any person's control. Eminent domain is a heinous, vicious act where the government can just take anyone's property as they please. They say that it is for the greater good of the community. I say it is a direct violation on American tax-paying citizen's rights, which has got to be unconstitutional.

Imagine that when you were young you aspired to be a business owner, say you wished to own a grocery store. You just loved the feeling of helping the community and satisfying people. Now imagine your life-long dream has come true. You finally own your own store. How amazing. After many years, the city that you grew up in offers you money for your store. Being a true entrepreneur, you turn down the money. Then the city takes your store. Wouldn't you feel terrible. A matter similar to this has just recently taken place in Sheffield Lake. They took the store through eminent domain and are using it for more boat parking. What a senseless waste of an entrepreneur's goal and dream.
