Amen to the Reader Forum letter from Chris Wiedle on Jan. 31 concerning the massive federal debt (taxpayers' debt). We taxpayers are tired of our elected representatives, both Democratic and Republican, spending, spending and more spending. Wouldn't we be much better off if they just went home for a few months right now? Think about it!

The only control that we should see from Washington is adherence to our Constitution and self control. Beginning right now there should be no new spending programs and the existing ones should be cut back if needed.

This deficit spending and its consequences are like the saying from the American Lung Association-"When you can't breathe, nothing else matters". As I see it, when this great country is broke and ranks with the third world countries, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

If you now think I am radical or just mad as h***, you may be right. Wake up, taxpayers, we are not sheep to be led to slaughter.

God Bless America, we need it!
