Gotcha, headline was confusing.
Is it true participants in the readers' choice awards were asked to pay to take part?
I've copied a message from our Facebook page that should hopefully answer your question.
"No, this is not accurate. The Funcoast Reader's Choice Awards were open to any business. A sponsorship package was offered to any business interested in drawing more attention to their business with print/online advertising as well as a text-to-vote option. Those businesses were advertised multiple times in the Register, online and were placed on the online ballot. Any business could have their name written in during the voting period. Many categories were won with the write-in option including best DJ, wings, tattoo shop and others. If you have any further questions, send an e-mail to email@example.com or call 419-609-5850."
No thanks. I get my fill of narcissistic and attention-seeking individuals right here.
as of right this second they have had only 6 likes for the day. If there was a DIS-like button I wonder how many DIS-likes they would have? As much as I dis-like some of the articles/stories in the register, I still check out the website atleast once every day, and if your reading this comment then you do as well. You cant dis-like or comment on something in the newspaper that you have not read, therefore the Sandusky Register is doing something right because everyone keeps coming back to read the new news and comment on the old. You gotta take the good with the bad or the bad with the good
I just want to unlike, and leave it...
