Officers went to the home in the 500 block of W. Washington St. but police found no evidence of gunshots and were unable to determine exactly what had happened.

The resident told police he was parking his car in a lot at about 6:30 p.m. when he saw two males — both appeared to be under 18 — exit an SUV and walk past his vehicle, according to a Sandusky police report.

The man then heard glass break and a male voice yelled that someone had tried to shoot him, the report said.

The man then ducked back into the SUV, and the vehicle sped away.

Neither the man, nor anyone else in the area, reported hearing gunshots.

Officers found a third-story apartment window broken, but they did not find the object used to break it, the report said.
