When a man stopped at a carryout in the city’s Over-the-Rhine historic neighborhood, leaving a 9-year-old child inside his car, a woman jumped in and stole the car, Cincinnati police said.

The child was found nearby shortly after and hadn’t been harmed.

WLWT-TV reported officers used a cell phone left in the car to track it down and began pursuing the woman, who had crashed into two cars after driving on the wrong side of the street.

NEVER leave a car with keys in it in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. That's just asking for trouble.

No idea where that is but it's probably not a good idea to leave the keys in the car in ANY part of town - no matter what town it is!! It's incredible that the child wasn't hurt in the accident when this moron hit two other cars.

Or the 9-year-old could have driven off.

Seriously, the grand theft auto charge is nothing compared to kidnapping.

That area in downtown is one of the worst neighborhoods in Cincinnati.
