In response to the letter concerning the Clerk of Courts office and what needs to be done: I did some temporary work with the Clerk of Courts office. I am not just giving my thoughts on the matter. At a time when we are coming out of a recession, and Sandusky has made some major cuts, let's look at the bigger picture. I understand that funding has to be available to have positions filled in some of the offices in Erie County if not all.

I said all of that to say this: When you stand on the outside looking in, it is very easy to form opinions or judge matters. I do believe that organization is a key in business, but does she or has she had a sufficient amount of staff to help in this matter? Why are temporary personnel being hired when this is something that needs to be tackled full-time?

In answering your questions, the three posed, should Barbara Johnson stay the course, fix the records, or step down?

I say to the entire governmental leadership of the city of Sandusky: Stop finger pointing at one another and come together as one group with one mindset asking yourselves, How can we assist one another with the tasks at hand? This city has a multitude of problems facing it right now that require all leaders to work together for the commom good of the city.

I hate to inform Terri Johnson that Barb Johnson is the COUNTY CLERK OF COURTS and not the City of Sandusky OH Clerk of Court. Terri, please understand how governmental divisions work, you know, townships, villages, cities, counties, states and countries because apparently you don't realize that Barb Johnson hasn't worked for 20 years in her elected county position.
