A preview of today's schools feature story, from Sandusky Central Catholic School:
Cleveland ceramic artist Kristen Cliffel visited Sandusky Central Catholic School art classes this month to teach students about using clay’s “visual language” to tell a story.
“Artwork can have many layers of meaning,” Cliffel said. “Some symbols are universal, while some not necessarily everyone will understand. I want to teach them about using those metaphors.”
Sandusky Central Catholic School has brought in visiting artists for almost 20 years, relying on funds from the Ohio Arts Council and the Mylander Foundation to make it happen.
