SANDUSKY

An armed man tried to rob the CVS Pharmacy on Venice Street Tuesday evening, demanding a clerk hand over oxycontin pills, a Sandusky police report said.

The suspect, a white male in his 30s, walked into the store at about 7:50 p.m. and demanded OxyContin from the clerk while flashing a gun that was in his waistband. When the 68-year-old clerk refused to hand over the drugs, the suspect fled the store.

Police searched for the man but were unable to locate him. Police say they’re still investigating the incident, but there was no surveillance video that captured the man’s image.
