Santas bring a holiday present to area businesses

Long before the first runners crossed the finish line at Sunday's Santa Hustle race in Sandusky, local tourism officials were sure they knew who really won.

The Santa Hustle 5K and half marathon races, which began and ended at Cedar Point's Castaway Bay, drew about 2,000 runners, said Aaron Del Mar, CEO of Adrenaline Sports Management, which presented Sunday's race and similar races elsewhere in the U.S.
But the race went not just to the swift, but to local hotels, restaurants and other businesses able to take advantage of the influx of out of towners, tourism officials say.
