PORT CLINTON

The former Volunteers of America employee accused of stealing money from the mentally disabled will go to trial.

Sandra Wolf, 40, Port Clinton, admitted to police she took at least $7,000 from up to seven clients in Port Clinton — at times overdrawing the clients’ bank accounts.

She withdrew a motion this morning that would have allowed her treatment in lieu of conviction. She's scheduled to go to trial Sept. 22.
