CARROLL TWP.

Authorities have identified the young woman found dead Tuesday evening in a remote Ottawa County marina.

Two jet skiers discovered the body of Jennifer L. Snively, 26, 1132 Earl St., Toledo, Tuesday evening in the water at Lamberjack's Marina in Carroll Township. She was tied to cement blocks, her hands and feet bound.

Ottawa County Sheriff's officials say a family member recognized Snively's tattoos when they were shown on a local news broadcast at 5 p.m. Thursday. Detectives met with family members, including her mother and brother, Thursday evening in Toledo. The family identified her from photographs of the tattoos and surgical scars on her body.

The case remains under investigation. At this time, detectives have no information on where she may have been murdered or how or why the body was brought to Ottawa County.
