How about a letter from a former Blue Streak school gal, writing to urge the people in the Margaretta School District to get out and vote "yes" for the up-coming levy on Aug. 4, and join a band wagon of us "old folks" to save Margaretta Schools for the students now enrolled there. When my dad moved to Margaretta School District in the late 1940s, and I had to leave Sandusky Schools, I thought it was the end of the world.

After I attended MHS the first week, I never looked back, and though my former long-lasting friendships from Sandusky still go on quite strong today, when the former MHS Alumni President Don Pfeil gave me the title of "MHS Alumni Historian," I deemed it a great honor, and will always go on record backing Margaretta Schools.

Our six children, some of my 20 grandchildren and now a few great-grandchildren attend Margaretta Schools. Let's keep this great momentum going, Some great teachers and famous people have roamed those halls and always fought for what is right, with the students being first.

Wouldn't our former typing teacher, Miss Foster, or Principal W. W. Worthing be proud of us for hanging in there and fighting for the good of the present day students? This year our class will be celebrating our 60th reunion and those of us who can, and are eligible, will be voting yes Tuesday!
