Erie MetroPark's leaders? That's a joke. More like a bunch of thugs. Smoking ban in the wide open spaces. Why?

It is very evident that there needs to be a change in the selection of board members. With millions of tax payer money at their disposal, it's time that voters elect the board, and not let judges appoint them. The current and past board members used it to push their personal agendas, time and time again. Example: Huron Greenway -- wasted legal fees forcing that elderly man out of his house.

Smoking ban on employees at home? Employees have the right to pursue whatever is legal -- smoking, drinking beer, etc. Not have their lives restricted so insurance companies can make even higher profits!

My late husband fought in World War II in the Navy to make sure this country could remain free. Not have our rights taken away slowly one at a time.

As a senior citizen I have never smoked. I respect that people have the right to smoke if they want.

If the board was elected, they would be more responsive to the voters and the voice of the public. As a registered voter I would sign a petition to change to voter selection of members.

What's next? No food in the parks because we're getting too fat? Save the insurance some more money. Time for us to get rid of the tyrants.
