Sandusky police are still looking for the man armed with a knife who robbed the Dollar General on Cleveland Road of an undisclosed amount of cash on May 18.

The man entered the store at 9:45 p.m., just before closing. He approached a store employee and demanded she “open the register,” before grabbing the money and fleeing.

Vicki Boesch, the clerk who was robbed, said the man showed her a knife and also had a gun tucked inside his belt. Boesch did not resist.

The suspect was wearing a black hooded jacket, gray jeans, white gloves and a mask over his face. He appeared to be in his 30s and was black, Boesch told police.

Police used a dog to track the suspect, but could not locate him.

Sandusky police Det. Sgt. John Orzech said the robbery is under investigation.
