The bovine was grazing in a pasture just off Sandusky County Road 99 when at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday a large, dead tree crashed down on it.
“The whole weight of the tree fell on the animal,” Sandusky County Humane Society officer Kelly Askins said. “If it didn’t die on impact, it died soon thereafter.”
The tree was about 3 feet in diameter and about 25 feet tall.
Askins said she was cleaning up tree limbs from her yard when deputies asked her to handle the cow situation. She rushed to the scene and found the cow dead.
“There wasn’t a whole lot I could do,” she said. "It's just one of those bad things that happen during bad storms like this.”

Awwwwww poor thing
The cow should have jumped over the moon.....
Last time I checked, cows don't jump.
They said a tree fell on a Jersey cow and my first thought was "Snooki just had a kid how sad".
I hope the poor thing didn't suffer. That's not a pleasant way to go out for animals or people.
It should have moo- ved faster.
That's one big beef patty.
