Gas prices at area stations topped $2 per gallon today.
Rising oil prices have helped to push Ohio gasoline prices up by 12 cents in the last week.
Prices remain much lower than a year ago, when Ohioans paid an average $3.22 for regular-grade gas.
Analysts at AAA say gasoline prices have been relatively stable, making only slight moves week to week.
The increase since last week comes as crude oil prices topped $50 per barrel for the first time this year on hopes that moves by the Federal Reserve could help the U.S. and global economies recover.
