NORWALK TWP.

The owner of Hammer-Huber's in Norwalk remains in serious condition today after a car crash about 10 p.m. Monday night.

Richard Hammer-Huber, 39, was traveling west on South Norwalk Road in a 2004 Dodge Ram when he lost control of the vehicle while driving along a curve just west of Ridge Road, according to the Norwalk post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Huber was the only person in his car and was wearing a seatbelt. A trooper said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Blood tests were taken, but the results are not back yet, she said. Huber was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center, then flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Huber's parents are the owners of the Hammer-Huber store in Perkins Township.
