I recent sent a letter to Congressman Bob Latta urging him to oppose the newly introduced House Bill 45. It is called the Blair Holt Registration, Licensing and Record of Sale Bill and is introduced by Bobby Rush who is a Democrat from Illinois. Anyone remember who Bobby Rush was? He was a member of the Black Panthers during the 1960s. Mr. Rush, now legitimate as a Congressman, is introducing his bill as the first step toward gun confiscation.

This has been done in the past, and done successfully. When it passed, the promoter stated "For the first time in recorded history, we will become the first nation to have full and complete gun registration. Our police will become more efficient, our street will be safer, and the world will follow our lead into the future." If you're wondering who said that, it was Adolf Hitler, in 1937. A year later, the guns were confiscated and the owners shipped to the concentration camps.

House Bill 45 will make it illegal to own any firearm that has not been registered with the federal government. Even if it is the rifle your grandfather brought back from World War II, you will go to prison for owning it. There is still time to vote this down, so write or call your Congressman now.
