Cedar Fair says it’s considering selling amusement parks in Missouri and Minnesota so it can pay down its debt.
Cedar Fair says the two parks are Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Mo., and Valleyfair near Minneapolis.
The company said today that it’s too early to speculate on the timing or price of any deal.
Cedar Fair also has been talking about selling California’s Great America in Santa Clara, Calif., to the San Francisco 49ers for parking at its proposed football stadium.
Cedar Fair took on a huge debt in 2006 with its $1.24 billion acquisition of Paramount Parks.
The company also said it will cut its annual distribution rate nearly in half to $1 per limited partner unit.
