SANDUSKY

The Paper District and the Apex property near Lyman Harbor were among suggestions discussed for a new park or parks to replace the Surf's Up property, which is being sold as part of the Marina District deal.

Since Surf's Up was originally constructed using $350,000 from an Ohio Land & Water Conservation Fund grant, the city must replace the park with another park of "reasonably equivalent" value and usefulness.

Save Our Shoreline Parks, the group formerly known as the Citizens for Responsive Government, attended the meeting and repeated their objections to the Marina District.
