President Barack Obama's campaign said she will emphasize get-out-the-vote efforts in a rally Tuesday afternoon at Cincinnati's downtown convention center.

She campaigned for her husband in Dayton in late July, and was in Cincinnati in February.

Obama's campaign said earlier he will return to Ohio next Thursday for an evening rally in Columbus, followed by a Friday rally in Cleveland.

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will be in Ohio this Saturday for a U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance rally in Columbus. The hunting enthusiast campaigned earlier this week in Lima, Cincinnati and the Dayton area.

I don't care who you "like". As for me, I will vote for the candidate who understands arithmetic. Even though my taxes will go up. I plan to vote, in every race, for the candidate who understands that the economy can only grow from the middle out. Top down does not benefit the country as a whole. I will never vote for somebody who states that Climate Change is a hoax. I have come to believe that many of these politicians take this stand only because they think that this is what people like you want to hear.

Which, by the way, is not much different from the stand taken on taxes. It is what you want to hear. That your taxes should not go up to pay for the 47% of moocher victims. Give me a break! I have never known a poor person who wants to be poor, just to mooch off of you.

Ummm. I think it might be more about the fact that persons of color were not acceptable as Mormons until 1978. Do folks from Perkins township know how to read? Are you aware the Mormons study a TRILOGY to gain their faith - the Old Testament, the New Testament, and The Book of Mormon (you should try reading it?

wiredmama222

Wait, I fall into that 47% and it kills me to be here. I have disability and it was hard to take it. I am ill and on medical disability, not by chose but by necessity. I fall into that catagory that Mitt Romney speaks of. No, he cannot change my position, so I was offended by what he said. Perhaps he should have said it a little better. Maybe with more thought, because some of us are in this with no choice whatsoever. We are not the moochers he thinks we are. We are here not by choice, but by need. So to lump us altogether is unfair. He made a raah statement that hurt him in my eyes. People say dumb things that come back to hurt them in the end.
He probably should have said it another way. Too late now.

Race card in the morning, race card in the evening, race card at supertime... Yawn, how utterly boring.

The left has used it so often that it is meaningless, just like their empty rhetoric.

the office cat

'He was born in Kenya.'
"He's a Muslim."
"Jeremia Wright was his mentor."
Where's his birth certificate?"

You mean that 'empty rhetoric"? Oh no, that's the Right's - and yours.

The defining characteristic of many Republicans (and certainly all of the Tea Party variety) is that they profess to love America, yet hate anyone who isn't exactly like them. Here's a hint: if you think there is nothing wrong with Mitt's 47% comment, then you are one of the intolerant ones.

Perkins2060

Truth hurts.

wiredmama222

Why is it that the wife of any man running for President always takes such a hit. What happens when the first woman runs for President? I can't imagine what kind of slaps and fangs will come out then for the man who will be sitting in the seat that the "first lady' usually occupies? This is one of the few countries left on earth that has yet to have a woman leader. Just wait...our day is coming.

eriemom

That day should have already come. Since men in government seem to think that we can't make decisions about our own bodies, why would the same believe that a woman could be Commander In Chief.

Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton in 2016!

wiredmama222

I wish she would run.....I would vote for her in a heartbeat. The best ticket in the world would be two women on the ticket President and vice president. I would LOVE it. Could you see the two men as "first and second ladies" of the land? LOL. I could just see it. "My day" by Mr. Bill Clinton, first man of the land. lol. And I totally agree with what you said. Amen to that. It is about time a woman was in control.

the office cat

"First Lady" was not universally used until 1877 when Lucy Webb Hayes was referred to as First Lady after the inauguration of her husband, Fremon't Rutherford B. Hayes.

If we have a "First Lady" does that mean ALL women then are 'ladies' (chuckle snort)

kURTje

Remember who posted what when Obama was elected? (This very location) Yeah they didn't hate (a-hem). He was elected, not selected (E.C.). Again how soon many forget.

“Well, there are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right? There are 47% who are with him. Who are dependent upon government, who believe that– that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they’re entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing, to you name it. But that’s– it’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. And– and– I mean the president starts off with 48%, 49%, 40– or he– he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. 47% of Americans pay no income taxes. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect. And he’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean that’s what they sell every– every four years.

And– and so my job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5% to 10% in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion. Whether they like the guy or not. What they– what it looks like. I mean the– it’s the– the– when you ask those people– we do all these polls. I find it amazing. We poll all these people, see where you stand in the polls. About 45% of the people will vote for the Republican and 48% or 49%– “"
Thats the 47% quote from Romney. Not worded the best, But makes sense if you look at who is the focus of his campaign.
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy" Tytler
Common sense here folks, We are in the end game.

wiredmama222

So in essence you are saying that we are at the declination of a democarcy here and this is pretty much it? We are pretty much collapsed? After this we can only hope for a dictatorship and then a monarchy? Do I understand you correctly?

Wow, I hope I am dead by the time we hit that one. It scares me too much to even think about it.

Randy_Marsh

@Wired
According to popular opinion in this country we are in decline. Will our children be better off than we had it? It was said earlier on SR that all major societys fall through Debt, Well we are in the thick of it. To ignore the problems and continue to throw good money after bad is just making it worse." Wow, I hope I am dead by the time we hit that one. It scares me too much to even think about it." Alot of americans think the same way, So not preparing for it only leaves the future generations in the lurch. We spend 500 billion just on the interest on our debt. What could that pay for later on down the road? Well as of now it pays for China to give thier citizens cheaper healthcare and other amenitys, Not our own citizens. Borrowing on our kids future isnt "Fair" as the left likes to say. Anyways the quote is from Tytler, Pretty smart guy if you ask anyone who has read his books. He also came up with this.
Tytler said the cycle starts out with a society in bondage. Then it goes in this sequence:

Bondage
Spiritual Faith
Courage
Liberty
Abundance
Selfishness
Complacency
Apathy
Dependence
Then starting over with Bondage
Look familiar?

@ Randy_Marsh:

Like the German Jews who took a 'wait and see' attitude figuring that the electorate would eventually see through Herr Hitler's nonsense and vote the Nazis out of office in the next election.

Pres. Obama is a symptom, he's 'not' the disease.

Yea, not-to-worry, it 'can't happen here.' In a pig's eye.

Are you familiar with Martin Armstrong? Interesting reading:

As of today, right wingers will no longer be referred to as right wing Repubs, but what they truly are, Fascists.

Contango

@ brutus:

You’re as confused as ever.

Fascism is an economic system of combining govt. ownership and govt. regulation - reads more like Democrats.

FDR was a fascist and Mussolini recognized him as such.

Hugo Chavez said that he would vote for Pres. Obama - the socialists need to stick together.

the office cat

True Fascism is control of the government by "people corporations" eventually placing people in places of power in the government so they can run in a completele de-regulated marketplace. From Teapot Dome to Hooverville we learned how fascism rules a country.

the office cat

Ignorance is bliss so most of you must be very happy.
This is NOT a democracy.

This is a federal republic obtaining its right to govern from the governed.

Except in some New England states where they still decide things by majority vote in town meetings, this is NOT a Democracy and therefore cannot be a 'democracy in decline'. Even 'Democratic-Republican) Thomas Jefferson grew to realize there are some things the states cannot do for themselves - that's why states asked to be declared 'national emergency zones" when weather decimates them. Can't you at least try to be more enlightened and aware than one man who believes Jesus was conceived like the Greek and Roman gods and his running mate who gets his core beliefs from an Atheist who hated America?

Give it a rest Randy! Don't believe the hype wired!

Democrats who have posted earlier make a good point: Why are Republicans denigrating Michelle for campaigning for her husband? We Dems aren't dumping on Romney's wife for doing the exact same thing, and isn't Michelle doing exactly what we would expect ANY candidate's wife to do?

If you have no real reason to complain about Michelle, and have to stoop to name calling, instead of actually HAVING a point to make, it convinces no one. Personally, I'll take a First Lady who actually DOES something to improve American's health than, say, the previous First Lady who did nothing helpful or memorable while her husband was in office.

It's ok. We Dems understand your need to whine, since it's becoming more obvious each day that more Americans support Obama than Romney.

Randy_Marsh

Coasterfan
Are you refering to the 47% who will not change thier vote because they are afraid of being called a racist or the 47% who supports whichever president promises them the most loot? BTW After the benifits are cut because we can no longer print us conservitives ask a favor, Dont whine, Thats all the left has done for the last 100 years. "Whhaaa Whaa It isnt fair, He has more than me. Whaa Whaa" HA!

@ coasterfan:

Of course many Americans LOVE Pres. Obama's "Cash & Prizes" Admin.

47 million on food stamps, millions of older adults on SSDI and millions more on welfare with 'free' health and nursing home care through Medicaid and those 'free' "Obamaphonz."

And taxing the rich is gonna pay for it all.

Who wouldn't LOVE Pres. Obama???

Just vote for more 'free' stuff!!!

It worked for every petty little dictator throughout history, that is until the country went broke.

Bluto

Cash and prizes for the one percent , or cash and prizes for the rest of us , hmmm...

Randy_Marsh

For those cash and prizes the sheep will give up thier god given rights and worship a politician. Shows you exactly how easy it is to manipulate uneducated people.

The Big Dog's back

Yeah, those 1%ers sure are uneducated.
