A Norwalk man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle collision on Ohio 13 Thursday after he passed three other vehicles in a no-passing zone and crashed.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the accident, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Kyle Smetzer Jr., 22, was transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center and later flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. He was driving a 1999 Chrysler 300 and was wearing his seat belt at the time of the 7:30 p.m. crash.
Smetzer lost control of his vehicle and went off the left side of the roadway striking a ditch and a pole. His vehicle then overturned several times back across the roadway.
