NORWALK

A teenage girl's lack of cooperation made it difficult to build a case against a registered sex offender.

DNA evidence, however, told the story the teenager refused to share, authorities said.

David Sherman, 28, of the first block of Orchard St., Greenwich, was indicted Friday -- more than a year and a half after he was found at a Norwalk motel with a teenage girl. He is charged with one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony.
