In Sunday’s Register was a letter claiming Huron Library and St. Mary’s school library have inappropriate books.  The writer goes on to mention “Song of Solomon” by Toni Morrison.

As librarian of St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School, I beg to differ with her.  We do not have that book in our library.  Since the writer does not mention any other inappropriate books, I certainly would like to hear from her, as to what she is referring.  We, at St. Mary’s, do take our obligation to help parents in the education of their children, and I watch closely what books are available for the students to read.
