NORWALK

Weeks of negotiations between Norwalk Furniture and two private equity groups over the sale of the company came to an end Wednesday.

IRG Capital Group and Blackbird Capital Partners have pulled out and the deal has crumbled for good.

"They did inform us Wednesday, yesterday, in the afternoon, that they were not going to go forward with the purchase of Norwalk Furniture," said Mary Geretz, receptionist for the furniture company.
