DANBURY TWP.

A Sandusky man is in University of Toledo Medical Center after his motorcycle collided with a car Wednesday evening on Ohio 269 North at the Ohio 2 interchange commonly known as the “spur.”

Steven W. Wetzel, 42, 1400 block Bardshar Road, was riding a 2004 Yamaha Road Star north on Ohio 269 shortly after 6 p.m. when the car in front of him tried to make an improper U-turn to head back south, according to the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Wetzel could not stop in time to prevent a collision and struck the four-door Saturn LS in the driver-side door, troopers said.
