SANDUSKY

A Sandusky woman has been arrested on 25 counts of forgery after she doctored credit card slips at Lyman Harbor to add extra tips, police said.

Police also charged Michelle R. McCarthy, 42, 200 block E. Market St., with one count of theft Thursday morning. She was booked at the Erie County jail on $125,000 bond.

McCarthy is accused of doctoring credit card slips from 25 customers. If convicted on all the forgery counts alone, McCarthy could face up to 25 years in prison.
