A number of protesters gathered in downtown Sandusky on Thursday to demonstrate their opposition to President Barack Obama.

Bill Roberts, running for congress in Michigan, and fellow protestor Alan Egre, said they’d encountered reactions of all kinds since they’d been camped out at about 9:30 a.m. Their goal is to impeach Obama, upsetting him so another Democrat can run for president in the fall election.

“Are you ready to dump Obama?” Roberts asked one driver.

“I’ve been ready,” she said with a thumbs up, before pulling out of the driveway.

MIKEL... I wouldn't know about going to the fair and having money to spend.

I was reared by a divorced single mom and my dad didn't pay any support or alimony.

We never had welfare (which at that time was commodities, not food stamps). She made $175 a month to pay the mortgage, my childcare ($40 a month) and gas to get to work.  We had a large garden and picked up apples to make sauce and picked the last of the berries in the neighbor's patch.  Despite all that, we took food to three elderly neighbors.

Our County Fair was free and you could get 10 ride tickets for a $1 in advance.  So I had 10 rides.  My uncle sometimes gave me  a $ - and always said 'spend it for something fun'

ya see, I think the president has a grand vision of what America can be again.... with schools expanding educational offerings and programs; with colleges and trade schools to learn USEFUL job skills; with a way to help individuals - instead of the rest of us - pay for health care (doctors don't take chickens anymore); to provide PREVENTIVE health care and cut down on expensive remedial care.

You sound a lot like Chris Collins, congressional candidate, who says we don't need health care because "people aren't dying of prostate cancer and breast cancer anymore".

The 'entitlement' generation:

Yeah, I'm entitled.  I've spent nearly 50 years paying into social security and been paying into Medicare since it began. Damb right I'm ENTITLED.

I've paid taxes for 50 years.  If I need food stamps or some other assistance awhile, bet your asp I'm ENTITLED.

If I'm workin' my assets off in a part-time job so my employer doesn't have to provide benefits - or two jobs for the same reason and I get sick, you betcha I'm ENTITLED to healthcare because my government has seen fit to label me as lazy or a freeloader.

Captain Gutz

officecat,

So the President has " a grand vision of what America can be again....".

Would that be the America where your mother "made $175 a month to pay the mortgage, my childcare ($40 a month) and gas to get to work." and ' We had a large garden and picked up apples to make sauce and picked the last of the berries in the neighbor's patch. "?

Did you want doctors to start taking chickens in payment again? How many chickens for an abortion?

The Big Dog's back

I'd much rather have all the income go to the top 1% putz.

Super Judge

No your guy has too much money, no your guys wife got a pedicure yesterday. Get real, their both idiots and we'd be better off with wiredmama for president. And we all saw how sweet she is!

deertracker

Hey Knuckle,

You should splurge a little and pay someone to cut your dead lawn.  What good is being independently wealthy at 43 if you die from a heat stroke?    I'm worried about you, buddy!!

MBR   I plan to vote for him and I know why.  Do you plan to vote for Mitt?  Why?

Really folks, all the bickering changes no one's mind. What's the point?  Let your vote speak for you!

Step by Step plans of Castro, Stalin, Lennin, Mao, Chavez to develop Communism

1. Nationalize major sections of the economy, health care, industry, banks, student loans, etc

2. Redistribut wealth

3. discredit opposition, even press afraid to ask him a hard question

4. censor opposing views

5. control gun ownership -agreeing to sign onto UN ban treaty

6. devlop a constabulary force to control civilian population - its in the health care bill just as powerful as the miitary   7. control the press/propaganda

8. take over agriculture or private land

Only a fool would vote for a devoted communist.  He belonged to the New Party in college whic was a front for the student communist party. Walks and talks like a duck Hillary this very day is at the UN crafting a bill that will require gun registration, many sorts of weapons completely banned, and you may be able to own a sigle shot .22. It is said he will sign it July 27 by Excutive order or Fiat going around the Senate like everything else. Good luck

The Big Dog's back

laker, I thought you were talking about bush for a minute. He's the one who done all those things you said.

Julie R.

The protesters in Erie County can't even get rid of their worthless elected public officials yet they think they're going to impeach the President of the United States.

Taxpayer

Amen to THAT Julie R.  I totally agree!  I cannot WAIT for November.  We shall see WHO will be crying in all their rancid soup.  Oops, I mean soup line.  Unemployment.  No Jobs.  No Budget.  No NOTHING!  Go 0bama!  FOUR MORE YEARS!  Ha! Ha!

mikel

superjudge - when i went to the fair with a buck it was actually worth like 90cents unlike today where a buck is worth like 20cents thanks to the devaluation of our currency because of the excessive printing of money and the selling out of america to the chinese by oidonthaveaclue.  also, my family parents were never on the dole like the lazy a$$es today.

can't wait to get to my time share in the bahamas!

mikel

office cats says - "Is that what the Boner says... 27 jobs bills. Which jobs were those? And HOW were they going to be funded?" why don't you tell us, office cat, just how these jobs are to be funded? more taxes? print more money? ask the chinese for a loan?

"the irresponsible spending of this government".... remembering ONLY the HOUSE can appropriate money and raise taxes" it's called a budget! wondering just when oidonthaveaclue will submit his first one to congress? ah, why worry about it now he only has 6 months left!

"If I'm workin' my assets off in a part-time job so my employer doesn't have to provide benefits - or two jobs for the same reason and I get sick, you betcha I'm ENTITLED to healthcare because my government has seen fit to label me as lazy or a freeloader." i am all for helping those that at least try to help themselves and just can't make it. its the lazy a$$es that sit around and pop out kids, do drugs, gang bang etc that i have a problem with.

Republican, Ohio Senate President  Bill Harris, collected 1.2 Million in His campaign fund and wasn't elligble for re- election, term limit.  As reported by the Sandusky Register, Senator Sherrod Brown collected almost 1.3 Million in just one quarter.  They are President of their individual campaign funds.  Now here is O'Bama's numbers,  In 2008 He collected 992 Million for His campaign of which He spent only (I say Only) 368 Million.  The richest or costliest campaign in US history.  I think most of you people have forgot about Their Campaign fortunes and this just isn't O'Bama. Remember the President who flew to Japan on Air Force One and collected like 2.5 Million from  the Japanese, Maybe Reagan?

A lot of the City of Akron was shut down today.  I wonder how much it cost us here in Erie County for 300 people to hear the President?  This wasn't open to Erie County Residents, Just a chosen few, 300?  I think these 300 people should foot the total bill.  I feel proud that I wasn't invited.  Romney is speaking all over the Country without a 1000 Body Guards, I understand He is the President.  I'll ask, is He getting paid to be President or just to Campaign?

Someplace in Western Michigan I remember the jobs that were created a couple years ago.  I kind of remember it costing like 2.4 Million for every job that was created there.  Some one Help??

EZOB, Yes,that would be Holland Michigan and it was a factory that made batteries.

Erie County Resident

When somebody has an opposing opinion that doesn't support the annointed one the liberal/socialist just pile on like the lemmings that they are.

Julie R.

"I wonder how much it costs us here in Erie County for 300 people to hear the President?"

So were the people that handled this event --- the ones with the last names of Murray, Baxter, and Grubbe --- part of the chosen 300? If so, why not make them foot the entire bill? On the other hand, I would rather see the taxpayer money go toward a short visit from the President of the United States then I would those big Lorain County law firms and all those retired rent-a-judges that Erie County has been using for over a decade.

mikel

i know of 3 lawyers from seneca county that were at oidonthaveaclue's trip thru sandumpy and just wondering how they were selected.

judge - my pops came over from germany right after ww2, got a job, learned the langauge, got his citizenship, joined the army and fought for the us in korea.  he did it the way all immigrants should.  to proud to take a handout but when the day came that he retired he had himself a nice construction company to sell.  proud of that man.

MBR   I plan to vote for him and I know why.  Do you plan to vote for Mitt?  Why?

Dear gawwwd, no. I can't stand either one of them. Each one is just as fraudulent, self-serving, corrupt, and out of touch with how the average American lives (and struggles) as the other. Neither one cares about “the people” or our constitution; their only concerns are maintaining their own positions of power and prestige while keeping their wealth intact.  I might be willing to overlook those issues if either one had solid, realistic policy plans to present, but that is not the case.

I just can't abide by the hypocrisy I see so much of here and elsewhere: protesting or questioning the POTUS is disrespectful—and yet the last prez is referred to as “Chimp” in another post (I wasn’t a fan, just making an observation); people who support Romney are stupid and don’t even know what they stand for, the implication being that everyone who supports Obama is highly intelligent and extremely informed…etc. Some people’s inability to formulate simple logical thought processes/arguments astounds me, that’s all.

Super Judge

I could careless what the immagrint pops did. Just vote Romney!

mikel

romney is the vote getter as there is no way he could do worse than oidonthaveaclue.

No problems mowing the lawn.  Got it done with a few water and cool down breaks. LOL.  @officecat, Ashland is where I received my degree not where I teach, numbnuts.  Websters definition of a bigot fits you perfectly, or maybe you didn't read it.  Read it one more time only slower. While you are there look up how to spell the word Damn.  Anyway, you are starting to bore me. You sound like a broken record.  @deertracker, no worries, 4 acres, riding mower, and lots of breaks.  Got 'er done, no problems.

My wife was one of the 300 who attended the President's appearance in Sandusky. She arrived hours early, and said that she saw/heard little, if anything, in the way of anti-Obama protests. One yahoo with an "Ice Cream Socialist" sign, she said. I listened to the video of his speech and didn't hear anything other than the speakers in the gazebo and appreciative applause from the audience. If there were more opposition than that, they certainly did a nice job of keeping themselves under everyone's radar...

"Finacialization": It is where an industrialized country (or in this case a post-industrial country as say Holland as an example or others from history who have also gone through what we are experiencing), has placed it's economy and therefore it's future into the hands of the bankers. They in turn prostitute their respective govenment so they make even greater sums of money and more importantly...completely dominate and control the citizens of that nation. If you think about it...that is is exactly what is happening here in the U.S. Corporations making record profits (think of the oil industry, the military industrial complex and others), Mega-banks rolling in cash (but won't loan any out unless you are already wealthy or in the "inner circle"), Wall Street running rampant with huge gains (look how your gasoline prices vacilate from $3.11 to an overnight price of $3.59 all caused by speculators who have NO restraints governing their profits because those restraints were obliterated by an administration of their choosing) and bailouts for whom (?)...yup...the "big boys". All the while the chaos, suffering and despair the middle-class and lower income class experience AND their voices are not only muted but practically silenced by Super-Pac money from sources we (the citizens) have no clue (because of more "regulations!!!"as to its origins or even quanity (you can thank the Supreme Court or more precisely the "conservative" judges for that individual voter's voice suppression tactic.).

"Financialization", a Plutocracy, an Oligarthy and other forms of "government" are all meant for ONLY one reason/purpose; to get as much money into the hands of the the Monetary Elite as possible AND...to eventually enslave the remaining people. These anti-freedom governments are in fact nothing more than a form of "socialization" for the few.

Mitt Rommney IS part of that plan. *He won't give full disclosure as to his sources of income OR his total net worth OR give any meaningful details about his several off-shore (kinda like off-shoring jobs) business holdings but is "kind enough" to let us know he has "some" money in a Swiss bank account (but won't reveal its amount). Now then...which side of the fence do you REALLY think this guy is standing on? The average citizens of America and what's in their best interest OR...his mega-wealthy friends?

Get a grip on reality...this man is up to absolutely no good, no to be trusted and NOT to be voted for. (His half-baked, Etch-a-Sketch attempts at swaying the voters is nothing more than thinly-veiled lies so YOU vote for him. That vote of YOURS will indeed be another nail in the casket of Democracy.

Mitt and peole like him are THE solution. The soultion the Monetary Elite are trying to convince you to "buy into" so you place the shackles on yourself.

Which candidate is more, in totality, like yourself? Which has roots and childhood backgrounds more in line with the average American? Which candidate has actually worked their way up the income and social ladder rather than being handed a silver spoon? Which candidate is more in line with the Monetary Elite? Whcih guy speaks from his heart and not his wallet (Wanna' bet $10,000 dollars Mr. Perry?).

WHO...do you think and feel is going to best represent YOUR average American interests?

It's really quite an easy question to answer when you decide to simplify the matter.

* Thanks for reading this and hopefully.....thinking.

Ps. Mitt and his cronnies don't need (or want) you to join their inner circle....they just want your money so don't think they going to aid you in climbing the economic ladder. "Trickle Down" (like being peed on) is their only motto.

Pssssst; You aren't welcome to their small, private party.

Captain Gutz

PB&J asks:

"Which candidate is more, in totality, like yourself? Which has roots and childhood backgrounds more in line with the average American? Which candidate has actually worked their way up the income and social ladder rather than being handed a silver spoon?"

After careful consideration, it appears as though the answer to those questions is Ron Paul.

The Big Dog's back

putz, that would be Barack Obama.

Dog you went to harvard? How about being a lawyer getting paid for doing nothing? Oh you must share the common trait of being elected unopposed ? No? What do you have in common besides you hate white people and do not have any common sense?
