A company whose president faces bribery charges in connection with construction of the Lorain County Justice Center will manage construction of a $3.5 million expansion project at Ritter Public Library.

Vincent Carbone, president of R. P. Carbone Co., and architect Randall Gordon were indicted in Lorain County for allegedly paying a total of $600,000 in bribes in 1999 to Lorain County commissioner Brian Ross and another local businessman to secure work on the justice center.

Gordon reached a plea deal in his case and paid back $420,000, according to media reports. He was sentenced to six months in jail.
