SANDUSKY

Lt. Darryl L. Edge entered law enforcement to help people and provide "a calm face when there is chaos."

That calm face might be an important asset for the soft-spoken Edge in his new job as commander of the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Edge takes over a post that was blanketed in controversy earlier this spring after ex-trooper Craig Franklin dressed up in a KKK-like costume while ex-trooper Eric Wlodarsky snapped his picture with his cell phone camera the day before Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
