SANDUSKY

A second man has been arrested for the murder of Calvin Harper Jr.

Aaron Gipson, 31, of Detroit was arrested Monday morning when he showed up at Erie County Common Pleas Court for prior charges. He was served a warrant for aggravated murder in the Harper case, in addition to previous warrants for aggravated robbery and two counts of trafficking in drugs.

Gipson's aggravated robbery charge stems from August 2007, when he was accused of robbing Curtis Payton, 48, of $1,000 cash at gunpoint.

Sandusky police Det. Gary Wichman said the Harper case is still open, but the department believes the two main suspects have been arrested.
