SANDUSKY

Sandusky Transit System is hopeful a $100,000 grant will fuel a new public transit corridor along U.S. 250.

The city has applied for a$100,000 Job Access Reverse Commute grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation that will allow for increased public transportation service along the U.S. 250 retail andcommercial corridor where there is an increasing number of employment opportunities.

"(The grant) is ideally suited for Sandusky as its intent is to provide transportation from urban areas where jobs are decreasing to suburban areas where jobs are increasing," said Rosanne Bodner, city public transit administrator.
