A "for sale" sign is posted in front of city commissioner Brian Crandall's house at 730 Garfield St.
Several city commissioners said Tuesday night they have heard "a rumor" Crandall might be stepping down -- but they haven't heard it from Crandall.
City manager Matt Kline said he is not aware Crandall has plans to step down, but he did confirm that Crandall's house is for sale and he's interested in a house in Huron.
"I heard that they're thinking about a house in Huron, but I can't confirm that he actually did or did not (buy it)." Kline said.
If Crandall were to move to Huron, he could no longer be a commissioner.
"Generally, when his house is sold here, then he's no longer a resident, and you have to be a resident to be a commissioner. So he would have to step down," Kline said.
Crandall did not return calls for comment.
