There's a lot to like about Rebecca Pace, who's been named Erie County's Foster Parent of the Year.
Here are some of the reasons she won:
-- She took in about 47 foster kids who needed a home.
-- She raised six kids of her own, including an engineer and a school principal.
-- She raises her foster kids the same way she raised own children: Early to bed on school nights, no swearing, and let's spend some time in church.
Granted, all of that's pretty good. But the social workers who honored Pace at Tuesday's Erie County Cares for Kids/Foster Care awards banquet mention something else.
Find out what "something else" is in our complete online newspaper or in Sunday's Register.
