The senator who's been standing in the path of the Great Lakes compact yelling "Stop!" says he's willing to get out of the way if others will accept a proposed compromise.
"I've never wanted to be the obstructionist to the compact," said state Sen. Tim Grendell, R-Chesterland, who added he only wants to make sure Ohioans' private property rights are being protected.
Grendell now says he is willing to support passage of the compact if Ohio adopts a constitutional amendment to protect private water rights for Ohio citizens.
