Great grades and active involvement helped put Kayla Munk in the running for America's Homecoming Queen.

Kayla, 17, was voted Margaretta High School's homecoming queen and is a finalist competing to represent Ohio in America's Homecoming Queen pageant.

"I would hope to represent the state of Ohio to the best of my ability and would stress the importance of academics and school and community involvement," she said. "It's not just about being involved in your community and school, but about being a leader and making things happen."
