NORWALK

Huron County elections officials are scrambling to make polling locations handicap accessible in time for the presidential election.

Among the challenges facing officials is the need to inspect and retrofit the county's 33 polling locations.

And in the past, poll workers carted the signature books and ballots to cars of disabled or elderly voters who couldn't make it indoors. That's not good enough anymore, the county's told.
