If the number of absentee ballots cast are any indication, turnout at Tuesday's polls will be high regardless of the weather.
Compared to the 2004 presidential primary, the number of absentee voters has already more than doubled.
As of Monday afternoon, 4,000 Erie County voters had already made their voices heard in the state primary election. In 2004, there were just more than 1,700 total absentee voters in Erie County for the primary.
