As they battle to win the votes of Ohio Democrats in the March 4 primary, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton aren't taking Erie County for granted.
Both candidates plan to open campaign offices in Sandusky, said Amy Grubbe, chairwoman of the Erie County Democratic Party.
"This is indicative of how important and strategic Erie County is in electing Democrats," Grubbe said. "This is definitely an important and exciting time for everyone to get involved at the local level for the two Democratic presidential candidates."
