As an employee of the Clyde-Green Springs school system for 23 years, I am writing to support the plan to upgrade and build new buildings in Clyde and Green Springs.

I am a custodian at Vine Street Elementary School. I also worked 14 years at McPherson Middle School and four years at Clyde Senior High School before the new addition.

Every day we work with buildings that have 50- to 80-year-old pipes, heating systems, electrical services, roofs and doors. Many doors and heating systems are so old they don't make parts to repair them.

To me, why we need new facilities comes from what we can't see. Old wiring in walls, cast iron plumbing so old they restrict water flow, and on and on.

I will never get to experience working in a new building. Retirement is in my near future. What I am telling you are the plain facts.

I have seven grandchildren that will benefit from our foresight. We need to think of our children and grandchildren to make a statement that we care.

Please join with me and study all the information and give our children a better chance to succeed in the future.
