Out of sight does not mean out of mind for area children this Valentine's Day.
At the Sandusky Library, children made Valentines for troops overseas as part of the "Victorian Valentines from the Heart" program Sunday.
The event combined educational lessons with arts and crafts and featured a collection of historic valentine cards from the Follett House Museum dating back to the 1850s. Many of the cards were intricately decorated and hand-made.
