PORT CLINTON

As disbarred attorney Elsebeth Baumgartner fights to stay out of jail, her husband, Joseph Baumgartner, is in a fight of his own.

Joseph Baumgartner, a state-licensed pharmacist and pharmacy owner in Pemberville, near Bowling Green, may see his license revoked by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy in connection with prescription pain-killers, antibiotics and other drugs authorities say they found at his Salem Township residence.

Baumgartner, who owns Medicine Shoppe, will be in court Monday for a pre-trial hearing regarding one felony and 15 misdemeanor charges he faces for drugs found at his home during a police raid.

The raid was part of an investigation into his wife, who was sentenced in Cuyahoga County to eight years in prison for intimidation and retaliation. She also was sentenced in Erie County to three years behind bars for failure to comply with a police officer and eluding authorities.

She is appealing both cases.
